DXL to extract First and Last name os users-DOORS 9.1

Can someone help me with a DXL script to extract the DOORS 9.1 user list (first name, last name, email) to a CSV file? since this option doesn't exist in DOORS.

Thank you.

Thank you. I have executed this DXL script and this has extracted only the user IDs and the Email IDs. What I wanted to extract is the user First name, Last name and if possible the Email IDs. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Aljo George

Sorry, but DOORS does not know 'First Name' and 'Last Name'. The properties are:

  • name
  • adress
  • email
  • systemLoginName
  • telephone
  • fullName
  • and several boolean properties

You can fetch the 'fullName' and split it in first and last name.

The first name and last name values are available if DOORS is configured to use Rational Directory Server (LDAP/AD). The original poster did not specify the configuration, but if they are using RDS please research the "forename" and "surname" functions in the DXL Reference.

Edit: OK, just noticed the "DOORS 9.1" - it might be that these functions are not available in that version.

We are neither using LDAP/AS or RDS-User accounts are natively created in DOORS. Our plan is to migrate 9.1 to 9.6.(latest patch) and then to DNG. So we can run the script in DOORS 9.6. We are good if we are able to extract the first name and the last name, at least.

Thank you!
